Centre for Research, Planning & Action (CERPA) was established in 1972 and registered in 1978 under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. It is a non-partisan, non-political, not-for-profit organisation working with the objective of betterment of relatively disadvantaged population groups.
CERPA is located at 16, Dakshineshwar, 10-Hailey Road, New Delhi – 110 001 and holds an ISO 9001:2000 certification, reflecting its commitment to quality research and consultancy.

Late. S.P. Ahuja is the founding visionary behind CERPA, steering the organisation since 1972. His work as Project Director was formally appreciated by the Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission, Prof. D.T. Lakkadwala. Under his leadership, CERPA partnered with global institutions including WHO, UNICEF, the World Bank, and the Reserve Bank of India while maintaining a steadfast commitment to India's disadvantaged communities. The new management is dedicated to carrying forward his legacy with renewed vigour.
